Aims, contents and method of the course
We will take a look at the potential of actual 3D-software in respect of cartographic visualization. Forms of 3D-animation by the use of professional animation-tools (e.g. in order to produce high-quality computer generated video sequences) will be compared to the potentials given by (interactive) web-3d-technologies (Shockwave3D), designed for real time-visualization. These issues shall be demonstrated and applied in practice.
