Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will take a look at the potential of actual 3D-software in respect of cartographic visualization. Forms of 3D-animation by the use of professional animation-tools (CGI-Movies, e.g. in order to produce high-quality computer generated video sequences) will be compared to the potentials given by (interactive) web-3d-technologies (WebGL, JavaScript), designed for real time-visualization. These issues shall be demonstrated and applied in practice.

Assessment and permitted materials

Übungsaufgaben, Vorbereitung von theoretischen Inhalten für die folgende Einheit, Semesterprojekt in Kleinstgruppen, Präsentationen, Mitarbeit und mündliche Fragen zum Inhalt der Voreinheiten.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Die Note setzt sich zu 20% aus der Mitarbeit, zu 30% aus den abgegebenen Arbeiten und zu 50% aus dem finalen Projekt zusammen.

Für eine positive Beurteilung sind in Summe mindestens 51% nötig.

Eine Abmeldung ist bis zur 3. Einheit des PS möglich. Allen verbliebenen Angemeldeten wird bis spätestens November des WS - auf Basis der bis dahin erbrachten Leistungen - ein Zeugnis ausgestellt. Grundsätzlich besteht Anwesenheitspflicht! Es dürfen max. 2 EH versäumt werden.
