Aims, contents and method of the course

Complimentary Field Class to the Project Seminar "Vienna City Guide Emphasizing Environmental Factors"

Perequisite: as designed for MSc Programme "Theoretical and Applied Geography". Corequisite: Project Seminar: Vienna City Guide Emphasizing Environmental Factors, Part I (class number 290 184)
Intent of course: Students will be provided with the field and technical experience necessary to produce an original field guide. The course will focus on the geology of Vienna in order to exemplify how to communicate the environment. Visits to educational sites will be organized and planning, collection and analyses of material will be discussed.
Nature of examination: There will be no formal scheduled examination. Marks for the course will be based on written and oral performance during class time.
