Aims, contents and method of the course

Perception of the Environment and Environmental Communication

The course introduces the most important aspects of the perception of the environment and of environmental communication from the individual to the collective level. It offers opportunities to get acquainted with understandings of nature and environment within the own culture as with those of non-western cultures by elaborating collective papers. Particular attendance, however, weill be devoted to the communication on environment, environmental problems and nature in science, mass media and politics within the modern society.
Forms of teaching:
- Pleanry lectures and discussions
- Paper, elaborated in small groups
- Presentation and discussion of these works in the plenum
- Mutual evaluation of these products
