Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the brief history of European spatial planning, no going under the flag of territorial cohesion policy, or territorial governance. It discusses its strengths and weaknesses as well as its prospects under its new flag of territorial cohesion policy.
Assessment and permitted materials
The seminars will be assessed on the basis of students¿ input, based on required reading and set topics for the discussions. Students whose attendance and performance at these seminars is unsatisfactory will not receive the credit points. Those to whom this might apply will be given due warning to be able to improve upon the situation.

Examination topics
There will be lecture sessions and seminars. Students can take the lecture course to be followed by a written exam without attending the seminar, but students wishing to take part in the seminar are expected to attend the lectures. For the seminars, students will be expected to prepare statements.
