Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Against the background of the lectures covering European spatial planning in general, the seminars are designed to give students a grounding in the practicalities of European planning, with where appropriate reference to Austria and the participation of Austria in the many European programs.

Assessment and permitted materials

The seminar will to be assessed on basis of the preparation and presentation of the topic allocated to students and of their participation in discussions generally. Students whose attendance and performance at these seminars is unsatisfactory will not receive the credit points. Those to whom this might apply will be given due warning so as to be able to improve their performance.
Literatur: Students will be expected to make use of the material discussed in the lecture course and collect additional relevant sources themselves, but there will also be recommendations where relevant from the course tutor.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Examination topics

Students attending the seminar will be allocated one of the six topics discussed. They will be expected to research these topics, including where appropriate interviews, and to give a presentation leading to a discussion with the whole group.
