290214 UE Exercises in landscape ecology (2012S)

The tutorials on landscape ecology are based on the lecture "Introduction to landscape ecology" (WS 2007/08). The different study areas focus on the integration of soil - topography - hydrology - vegetation - landuse in geo-ecosystems. Therefore, the tutorials have an emphasis on soils and their important role as natural habitat, cultural soil, nutrient supplier, regulator for pollutants, and regulator for water storage. Thus, the learning of pedological field methods is essential for the field practice. It is expected that the students apply their new competences by themselves during the tutorial and evaluate all field results in form of a team-oriented field report.
