Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture gives an overview of the theoretical principles of spatial planning and policy. The lecture is divided into three chapters: (1) Spatial planning between hierarchy and market: on the positioning and legitimization of public planning; (2) Procedural planning theory: paradigms of spatial planning; (3) Substantial planning theory: concepts and models in spatial planning. The theoretical aspects are illustrated with practical examples.
