Aims, contents and method of the course
Beside the physical geographic background in Sub-Saharan Africa the political and economical frames are presented, which are necesarry to understand land use. But the main focus is definitely on the natural scientific part of the topic. Against the ecological background land use forms will be discussed and possible developments in the context of global change will be disputed. Land use is not only agrarian utilisation and extraction of primary products but also the touristical capitalization and climate protection projects.
