Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In many regions in Sub-Saharan Africa food insecurity is a frequent phenomena, but also during "normal" food supply large shares of the population are affected by malnutrition. Continuous population growth, climatic changes but also regional and global frame conditions could lead to an intensification of the situation. During the two and a half days exercise a simulation game should highlight these interrelations. To prepare the game the group will independently compile the background of food security in an example region. To conclude the exercise, the basics of food security and the results of the simulation game will be summed up.
