Aims, contents and method of the course

During the excursion, landscape evolution, palaeoclimate and archeological sites of the Krems region and the Wachau will be presented. We have a look at the famous loess profiles of Krems-Wachtberg (current excavation), Göttweig and Willendorf. Data of recent research results on the archeological sites are available and we intend to visit the museum in Willendorf.
