Aims, contents and method of the course

Social Protection has become agrowing area of research and policy in recent years. A growing number of policy and scientists has been arguing recently that Social Protection has increasingly become a new development paradigm comprising much more than the traditional approaches of social security and poverty alleviation. The students recognize the didactic relevance of the topic and develop teaching units based on distinct didactic concepts.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Aim of this course is a critical discussion in which way key concepts and recent social protection programmes can be transfered into teaching units and what kind of problems have to be solved by constructing learning processes.

Examination topics

Stimulus serving introduction into the set of problems regarding a theory based planning of lessons followed by a self defined and action oriented construction of teaching units; Microteaching
