Assessment and permitted materials
Das Proseminar wird in Form einer prüfungsimmanenten Lehrveranstaltung abgehalten.
Es besteht Anwesenheitspflicht (max. 1 Blocktermin Fehleinheit) und Sie müssen während des Semesters mehrere mündliche und schriftliche Leistungen erbringen, um positiv beurteilt zu werden.Sind Sie zu einer prüfungsimmanenten Lehrveranstaltung angemeldet, nehmen jedoch nicht teil ohne sich während der Abmeldefrist über u:space abzumelden, werden Sie für diese Lehrveranstaltung negativ beurteilt.Erwartungen an die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer: Aktive Mitarbeit; Lesen von angegebener Literatur sowie Suche nach geeigneten Informationsquellen für einzelne inhaltliche Schwerpunkte; Schriftliche Arbeiten.Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung müssen Sie sechs schriftliche Arbeiten im Team zu jeweils festgelegten Terminen abgeben:
- Umgang mit "schwierigen Fragen" - 20 Punkte
- Literaturarbeit - 15 Punkte
- Einstieg & Arbeitsteil bzw. Informationsteil - 50 Punkte
- Erstellung einer Leistungsbeurteilung - 15 Punkte
- (freiwillig: Expertengespräch - 10 Extra-Punkte)Notenschlüssel:
ab 60 Punkten: Genügend
ab 70 Punkten: Befriedigend
ab 80 Punkten: Gut
ab 90 Punkten: Sehr GutFeedback laufend nach Abgabe jeder der sechs schriftlichen Arbeiten in mündlicher Form. Am Ende der Lehrveranstaltung werden alle korrigierten Arbeiten und ein Ergebnisraster auf Moodle online gestellt.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Wiederholung und Vertiefung der theoretischen Grundlagen des Themas (Grundzüge der österreichischen Wirtschaftspolitik) und Erarbeitung von Zielsetzungen, adäquaten Methoden und Materialien für die Umsetzung im Unterricht (Unterstufe und Oberstufe).
Examination topics
Fallbasierte Gruppenarbeiten, Diskussionen, Durchführung von handlungsorientierten Unterrichtssequenzen, Erstellung von Unterrichtsmaterialien.

Aims, contents and method of the course
Main aim of this course is reflecting, assessing and creating teaching-/learning-design of Economic Education within the Subject "Geography and Economics"The course aims to foster a debate on economic goals and topics within GW-classes (secondary level I and II) reflected upon from a didactic perspective.Further goals are:
- Working out and repeating theoretical approaches on the basis of literature
- Analysing the prerequisites of the curriculum (including the basic concepts for secondary level II) for a socio-economic GW-class
- Assessing the objectives of socio-economic education with particular regard to political education
- Analysing economic policies by taking into account important economic and sociological theories
- Working out adequate methods and materials for concrete socio-economic goals on secondary level I and IILearned competences:
- Getting to know different ways to foster students‘ capability to analyse, decide, judge and act in an informed way in economically shaped situations in life
- Getting to know possible applications of socio-economic theories in GW-classes and their limitations
- Getting to know and examine adequate methods and materials for a politically informed socio-economic class using concrete examples (secondary level I and II)
- Using different forms of media to examine the didactical challenges in GW-classesMethods:
- Reading and reflecting the compulsory literature
- Presentations by the lecturer
- Individual and group assignments (different formats)
- Discussions
- Expert interviews
- Developing and presenting a full (group-)assignment on a partial aspect of the class

Assessment and permitted materials
Course with continuous assessment of students' performance, which is based on active participation during lessons (reading of compulsory texts, assignments, discussion rounds, etc.) and the preparation of teaching units as a final thesis made in partner work
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Your grade is based on the transfer of economic concepts into teaching material. A positive grade is reached by:
- sufficiently independent elaboration,
- clarity of a relevant economic concept,
- possible application of the teaching material in real classroom settings.In order to avoid negative grades, it is possible to correct parts of the papers handed in after receiving feedback.
