Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

After a brief review of the life table concept, multiple decrement life tables and multi-state population projections will be introduced. In the second part of the lecture simple concepts of duration analysis will be discussed and applied to various demographic processes. The third part of the lecture deals with the evaluation of data quality in demography and indirect estimations.
Parallel to these topics, recent publications related to these topics will be discussed in exercises.
