Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar aims at supporting students in framing their research interest and translating this into a research design.
During interactive sessions, we will discuss issues of:
- formulation of research questions
- choice of methods
- selection of case studies
- structure of the theses
Students are asked to contribute their individual questions with regard to their work progress.

Assessment and permitted materials

Participation, including in workshops and assignments.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participation (min 80% of all meetings)
Preparation of assignments
Active discussion

Examination topics

Qualitative research, problem statements and research questions, literature review, methodology, research design
