Aims, contents and method of the course

Aim of this course is to analyze the widespread assumption that China and India will become two of the world¿s leading powers within the next few years. The course will focus primarily on the following aspects:
-demographic changes, potentials, and scenarios;
-economic development perspectives and restraints;
-ecological problems;
t-he structure of society and political systems and their changes;
-comparative evaluation of human capital;
-geo-strategic aims and activities.
