Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course field trips to Budapest, Bratislava, and Ljubljana will be undertaken. During these field trips lectures will be presented to introduce in the current urban development problems of post socialist cities. Smaller empirical projects organized by the students themselves and in collaboration with students of the visited cities are foreseen.
The course comprises:
- Academic lectures related to the main theoretical background,
- Expert introductions of urban development and issues to prepare guided scientific
trips,
- Discussions with invited urban experts, academics, and planners, and
representatives of municipalities
