Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course takes place in combination with VU Urban Development and Planning in Eastern Europe. During the field trips to Bratislava and Ljubljana lectures and on-site walks with non-participatory observation will be integrated to introduce in the current urban development problems of post-socialist cities.

The course comprises:
- Academic lectures related to the main theoretical background,
- Expert introductions of urban development and issues to prepare guided scientific
trips,
- Discussions with invited urban experts, academics, and planners, and
representatives of municipalities

This course is only available within the Master in Urban Studies (4CITIES).
