Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Urban Analysis focuses on methods and analytical skills and broadens the methodological tool box of each student. Methods like semi-structured interviews and observation are supposed to be practiced within a specific project conducted within a working-group in Vienna.Additionally, we provide applied workshops for predominately quantitative methods (e.g. statistics and cartography) which will be enriched by qualitative methods (e.g. interactive and creative workshop tools). A strong emphasis lies on collaborations with external experts and institutions. Therefore, we cooperate with the City of Vienna and with the Center for Subject Didactics (Fachdidaktikzentrum Geographie und Wirtschaftskunde) tp://fdz-gw.univie.ac.at/.
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance, cooperation, complete assignments, public presentation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
