Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture gives a survey about regional growth theory. Particularly assumptions and results of Neokeynesianism, Neoclassics, New Economic Growth Theory and New Geographic Economics (in dynamic versions) are discussed. According to these theories processes of convergence or divergence of regions are differentiated. Examples of some Austrian regions exemplify the theoretical results and their political implications.
