Aims, contents and method of the course
This course is an introductory seminar about dating methods and is designed for Geography students with a study focus in Physical Geography. Within this course selected dating methods, their basics, applications and limitations will be presented. The seminar is supplemented with examples and study trips. Each participant has to prepare a presentation about a specific topic. They have first to present a concept and then to make a final presentation (including the preparation of a handout). Lecture notes are available and are the obligatory reading for the written examination at the end of the semester.
