This course adresses students in the advanced study period. It aims at the increase of methodological knowledge in general and to become more acquainted with the planning instruments in regional planning in special. Beside the introduction in environmental risk assessment, which meanwhile is compulsoray in many planning processes, the thematic main focus of the course lies in the methods of evaluation in European regional policy.The variety of methods will bei highlighted as well as the potentials and limitations of evaluations in the context of regional planning measures. The course is divided into a lecture - and a practice part. During the lecture there is the plan to invite experts from the planning practice. In the practice part the students will work in teams to subject the actual practice of evaluation a critical reflection.
