Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar is a scientific discourse about the topic "geo-data infrastructure in the European Union" through individual or joint contributions by presentations, discussions, and a written paper.

This seminar focuses on the topic of GIS in public administration with the objective to achieve a good overview of applications of GIS in the public sector.

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is done by the oral presentation, the participation in discussions and the written paper (approximately 20 pages per person).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a pass mark a presentation as well as a written scientific paper are required. It is required to give a presentation as well as to submit a written paper. The individual marks depend on the quality of the presentation, the written contribution as well as the active participation in discussions.
