Aims, contents and method of the course

Subject matter: The basics of Austrian economy policy;
Main objective: Revision and consolidation of the fundamental principles of economic policy as well as construction of adequate methods and materials to transpose the theories into practical teaching (all levels)
Contents: Analysing and discussing objectives of economic policy by taking into accont economic theories of importance; Discussing correlations between the present economic situation and the efficiency of different economic measures; Assessing the meaningfulness of economic indicators; Analysing economic objectives as to their historical change; Working out the role budget policy plays within economic policy; Analysing the prerequisites of the curriculum and deducting further goals; Adapting a certain economic topic for junior as well as high school level.
Demands to be met by the students:
Active participation during lessons; Reading of recommended texts and finding out informative material; Cooperation with drawing up new materials throughout the course; Final thesis: Transfer of selected topics to junior or high-school level respectively.
