Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar accompanies students in the “Migration and Population Dynamics” Specialisation during the research and writing process of their master’s thesis. Students present the progress of their research and writing process, raise and discuss emerging problems and issues, and receive feedback from peers and supervisors. Participants need to have agreed on a thesis topic in the field of population geography with their supervisor.Two of the sessions will be held as joint plenaries, with short student presentations, feedback sessions, and inputs by supervisors, three sessions will be organized in the supervisor groups. The final session will be a longer symposium where participants present their progress of work to the wider community of the specialization Migration and Population Dynamics”.The language of the course is English.Participation by students enrolled in the phasing-out Master's programme ‘Geography: Global Change & Sustainability’ (Specialisation A) is highly recommended.
