Content:
In the course of the ethnobotanic - phytochemical excursion we will visit local markets, orchads, and plantages in Thailand and study bioactive compounds of selected plant species. In the phytochemical lab in Bangkok we will make crude extracts and perform bioassays as well as simple chromatographic fractionations to identify interesting plant products. Finally, more detailed phytochemical investigations will be performed in Vienna.
