Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This 3 hour lecture course introduces students to important concepts in ecology. Topics covered include biodiversity and its role for ecosystem functioning, trophic interactions (herbivory, detrivory, mutualism), meta-population and meta-community theory, disturbance ecology, succession, biogeochemistry and global nutrient cycles.
Language: German.

Assessment and permitted materials

examination in writing, 7 (open) questions with a maximum of 25 points. Exams have to be hold in digital mode until the 30th of September 2020

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

12 or more points (out of 25 possible maximum) to successfully pass the exam
