Written final test: 1st date 27th of June 2023.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The exam consists of 8-12 questions. There is a maximum of 50 points to reach. You need 25 points for a positive grade.

This class offers an introduction into the genesis and structure of limnic ecosystems (groundwater, springs, running water, and lakes). Furthermore, their importance in the global water cycle, their morphology, as well as its overall chemical, physical and biological characteristics will be tackled. We will go through current concepts of classification and typology. Central content is the importance of organisms and biodiversity for geochemical cycles. With all aspects, we will also discuss current anthropogenic pressures (global and climate change) to inland waters.
