Attendance of the associated lecture is compulsory - theory taught there is the basis for the exercises in the computer-lab!
Main topics will ba:
-Data Acquisition and Integration
-Data generation
-spatial reference systems
-Catography
-Analyses of spatial data
-Data(base) ManagementIn the lab ten PCs are available, so five participants have to bring their own Laptop to work on. We will work with the package ArcGIS from ESRI (get your student licence from ZID!) and with the FOSS package QGIS, both in their actual versions
