Bei der Vorbesprechung am Do., 10. März 2011, 12 Uhr, im sog. "Konferenzraum der Ökologie" Althanstraße wird ein vorläufiger Terminplan bekannt gegeben! Dort findet auch die Vorlesung und Bestimmungsübungen in 2-3 wöchigem Rhythmus statt (Donnerstag 12.15-14.00 Uhr). Eine Exkursion in den Botanischen Garten findet vegetationsbedingt im Mai statt (Treffpunkt: Biodiversitätszentrum der Fakultät für Lebenswissenschaften, Rennweg 14, 1030 Wien)

Aims, contents and method of the course
Biodiversity and morphogenesis of plant galls and the respective gall-makers. Effects of plant galls on physiology and ecology of host plants.
Assessment and permitted materials
Collaboration in plant gall determinations, attendance to the excursion, active presence in the lectures
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Sufficient knwledge of biodiversity and morphogenesis of plant galls and the respective gall-makers. Knowledge of effects of plant galls on physiology and ecology of host plants.
Examination topics
Tutorials. Excursion to the Botanical Garden. To learn how to determine a plant gall/a host plant
