Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the lecture can unfortunately not be held in physical presence. Instead, the individual units will be recorded using BBB from early March onwards. Registered students may access the audio files via Moodle anytime. The spoken lecture will not be provided for download. Instead, the slides supporting each individual lecture will be made available for download as pdf files. Recording and/or distribution of the spoken lecture is strictly prohibited.
Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture provides a general introduction into animal morphology. Data will be presented and discussed in the light of traditional and modern evolutionary hypotheses. In addition to morphological knowledge the lecture also deals with aspects of comparative developmental biology (ontogeny, EvoDevo) and phylogeny of animals.
