Aims, contents and method of the course

This lecture provides a general introduction into animal morphology. Data will be presented and discussed in the light of traditional and modern evolutionary hypotheses. In addition to morphological knowledge the lecture also deals with aspects of comparative developmental biology (ontogeny, EvoDevo) and phylogeny of animals.
The lecture will be presented live. In addition, the individual slots will be recorded and made accessible to registered students via Moodle.
NOTE: It is NOT PERMITTED to record or film either the live lecture or the audiofiles presented on Moodle! Registered students may enjoy the lecure on Moodle as often as they want until June 30th. After this date, they will be deleted.
The slides for each units will be made accessible separately and may be downloaded on the Moodle platform.
