300035 UE+EX Botanical Mediterranean excursion (2007S)

This course will be held in Southern Spain. This area is exceptionally rich in Mediterranean vegetation types including evergreen sclerophyllous vegetation, summergreen forests, semi-deserts and steppes. The main aim of this course is to introduce students to these vegetation types and their characteristic species. In a second part, data collection for a small project will be collected to be analyzed in an accompanying course in the winter semester.
