Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
After repeating basic statistical concepts, the course will focus on algebraic and geometric basics of important multivariate methods such as: principle component analysis, factor analysis, multiple and multivariate regression, discriminant function analysis, partial least squares, parametric and nonparametric hypothesis tests. The methods will be illustrated by numerous examples from different biological and biomedical fields.
