Aims, contents and method of the course

Four one day excursions end of March, in May, June and October focus on seasonal changes in flora and fauna in a river flood plain. These changes can be demonstrated particularly well in the March area as - in addition to climatic alterations - hydrology varies strikingly according to seasonal fluctuations in water level. The emphasis lies on a detailed analysis of a small number of organisms rather than on a general overview. This exemplary approach gives even unexperienced biologist the opportunity to benefit from the course.

Assessment and permitted materials
