First preparatory meeting on March 13, 2018 at 9 am in Seminar room of Dept. Molecular Evolution and Development (UZA1, 2.080).
During this meeting we will agree on a block seminar for the oral presentations.
Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course is primarily for students of the Master Evolutionary Systems Biology or Genetics and Developmental Biology, who have done their MES6/7 (lab rotation I or II (best both)) or the "Vertiefungsübung of MGE. Based on the results obtained in one of these 6 weeks project work, they learn to write a scientific proposal following the general guidelines of the FWF and put these in a broader context. At the end of the semester they will present and defend it in an oral presentation.
Assessment and permitted materials
The students have to submit a proposal of about 10 pages and present and defend it in an oral presentation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The final grade is composed of two partial grades: oral presentation (25%) and written proposal (75%) .
