Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar treats the scientific questions of the group and includes the Seminar for diploma and PhD students. It deals with specific methods, problems, questions, literature and analysis of data in the area of ultrastructure research, cell physiology and scientific film.
The program of the seminar will be announced on the web site of the Core Facility Cell Imaging and Ultrastructure Research - http://cius.univie.ac.at/ - at the beginning of the term.

Assessment and permitted materials

Progress is controlled continually by attending at least two thirds of the seminar reports, contribution to the discussion of the reports and - if possible - the presentation of the own scientific work.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Emphasis is put on defining the aim of the scientific work, on a review of the relevant literature, the presentation and discussion of the results. The teaching of giving seminar reports is also meant preparatory to scientific presentations at congresses, symposia and workshops. In addition, this seminar is a forum where students are made familiar with topics and technics of our guests.

Examination topics

Discussed topics from cell biology and ultrastructure research

Reading list

Lecturers provide the content of their contributions in form of an Abstract to participants.
