Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge of mire plants and vegetation types together with their inicator values for management and rehabilitation measures. Survey of mire types of the Tamsweg region. Ecohydrological basics for management and rehabilitation measures.

Examination topics

Field course. Plants and vegetation types will be demonstrated and discussed on the sites. Good examples of mire types occuring in the area will be visited and explained. After a theoretical introduction to ecohydrological basics their application will be demonstrated by means of two rehabilitation project sites.
Necessary equipment: Rain gear, rubber boots, handlens
