Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture gives a approach to numerous topics of urban ecology, among them: history; urban planning; urban sociology; urban biosphere (including pollutants, climate, floristic and faunistic aspects); „ecosystem urbs“; and the growth of cities. Furthermore the perspective is broadened to cities worldwide, global trends and the future of towns.

The lecture was primarily developed for students of biology but is expected to be understood by students of all other branches.
