Aims, contents and method of the course

ATTENTION: all theoretical background is part of the linked lecture (VO 300170)! Participation in this lecture has compulsory!

Concepts in GeoInformatics are discussed especiall in the context of Vegetation- and Landscape Ecology as well as Nature Conservation. The course is focused on working on Vector based Geodata with use of ESRI software package ArcGIS 10.5:
-Data Acquisition and Integration
-Catography
-Analyses of spatial data
-Database Management
-Open Data
-Open Source Software

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

All exercises have to be done and a minimum of 3 out of 4 must be evaluated as positiv to pass the whole course!
