Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
There will be a written exam (20%) on selected topics (in English) but the majority of the coursemark will be based on completion of 80% of the writing assignments on Moodle BEFORE the 1st exam date.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To attain the pass grade, more than 50% points are necessary. Grading scheme: 1 (excellent): 85-100%; 2 (good): 75-84.99%; 3 (satisfactory): 65-74.99%; 4 (sufficient): 50-64.99%; 5 (not sufficient): <50%

In this course the student will learn to effectively communicate using written English, in all of these variety of forms. This will be achieved through lectures, small (and enjoyable) tasks, and practical work in groups. Assessment will be continual through the course (via Moodle).
