Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Did you know that around 45% of atmospherical oxigen is produced by algae? This exercise offers insights into physiology of macroalgae, a group which is partly used for industrial purposes. Hypotheses will be proposed and afterwards tested by means of in-situ measurements and lab experiments. Topics will be selected according to your interest and studied in small teams (e.g., desiccation and recovery, carbon supply, photosynthetic performance, calcification, epiphytic algae). Language will be either German or English according to requirements.
