The practical class aims to provide system ecological knowledge about key organisms and their activities in the densely rooted soil environment - the rhizosphere. During this class, biochemichemical and soil zoological techniques of soil ecology (metabolic profiling, bioactivity monitoring) as well as their statistical evaluation are tought and practically explored. All data will be integrated to a crbon flux model for the respective platn soil systems.
