Aims, contents and method of the course
The course is conceived for Master student who participate to research projects on courtship behaviour and sexual selection. We will discuss ongoing projects including theoretical background, experimental design, methods and approaches, data analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation of presentations and publications.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment will be based on the participation to the course and involvement in the discussion about the planning, conduction, and evaluation of the research projects.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Course participants are expected to participate to at least 70% of the sessions for a positive evaluation. This quote can be reduced in special cases, i.e. involvement in field projects abroad. Assessment is based on the level and quality of contribution to discussions.
Examination topics
Sexual selection, courtship behaviour.
Reading list
Papers to address specific topics will be distributed during the course.
