Aims, contents and method of the course

This lecture series offers insights into the sociobiology, ecology and evolution of ants as a dominant animal group in almost all terrestrial ecosystems. A particular focus is placed on the manifold interactions between ants and other organisms such as animals, plants, fungi etc.

Assessment and permitted materials

examination in writing (duration: 90 min); 6 (open) questions with 5 points each, maximum total: 30 points

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

50 % of points required to pass the exam. Grade 4: 50-62.5%; grade 3: 62.5-75%; grade 2: 75-87.5%; grade 1: 87.5-100%.
