Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of the seminar is to train and improve the critical reading and discussion of literature. It shall prepare students at the master and PhD level for publically presenting their studies and for participating at conferences. A special focus is on formulating arguments and structuring different forms of discussions (open floor, attacker-defender etc.).
Assessment and permitted materials
Presence is obligatory; quality in participation, roles as discussant, presenter and chair
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The minimum requirement for passing the course is to be present during the presentations and discussions.
For grading, the participation in discussion is rated in categories (active, intermediate, passive); additionally, the number and quality of presenting/chairing is taken into account
