Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course will introduce the basis of molecular process of the genetic diversity. Specially focusing in the patterns of the maintenance and selection of this diversity at a genetic level. The course will also focus on the tools used for this study. The methodology of the course will be based on the learning through examples and enhancing the work in groups by investigating research questions.
Assessment and permitted materials
50% of the mark will be coming from a case study that will be the exam. The remaining 50% will be divided in two assignments conferring 25% of the mark.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
A minimum of 80% of assistance is required for the course evaluation
Examination topics
The examination topics will be the lessons and material discussed during the lessons, all the basis can be found in the material provided and discussed in the lessons.
Reading list
The literature of this course will be a set of scientific papers that will be illustrative of the discussed material, such papers will be sent to the students.
