Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to the Practices in Cell Physiology.

The following experiments of the topics are explained, performed and discussed:

- Analysis of the cell: light and electron microscopical methods
- Dynamics of the cytoplasm, of cells, of mitosis
- Detection and Identification of cytoplasmic structures:
immunofluorescence, organelle-specific dyes, micromanipulation
- Permeability of the plasma membrane
- Cell wall of plant cells: synthesis, structure and function
- The plant cell as osmotic system
- Stress tolerance of plant cells

In addition, pricnciples of scientific work and publication will be taught, especially also to support the production of Bachelor and Master Thesis.
