In the project course two groups of students will investigate scientific questions in bioacoustics. This course is built up of a 2 hrs seminar and of 4 hrs practical work.
In the seminar students will hear about basic acoustical techniques such as sound recording and analysis, sound level measurements, hearing thresholds determination, data presentation and statistics. Students will give seminars on papers important for their research project, and finally will present the results of their project. In the practical part students will take care for their animals, learn basic acoustical techniques, collect and analyse their data and write a paper-like final report.
