Die Übung findet am Donnerstag von 10:30 bis 12:00 Uhr im Wilhelm Klaus Saal 2 (2A225, Institut für Paläontologie. Kurs beginnt am 08. März 2012 und endet am 28. Juni 2012. Der Kurs sollte gemeinsam mit "Grundlagen der Wirbeltierpaläontologie" besucht werden, da in diesem Teil die theoretischen Grundlagen erklärt werden.

Aims, contents and method of the course
The students gain further knowledge about the morphology of vertebrates, their palaeoecology and palaeogeographie. They will learn preparation and determination on selected specimens.
Assessment and permitted materials
Bestimmung des Fossilmaterials in Form von zwei Zwischenprüfungen Termine werden im Kurs besprochen.

Examination topics
Der Kurs umfasst Mazerationsübungen. An Hand dieser Vergleichstücke und anderer die zur Verfügung gestellt werden, soll Fossilmaterial bestimmt werden. Für die zeitliche Einstufung wird mittels Binokulare Kleinsäugermaterial gezeichnet und bestimmt.
